THE DOC SHEBELEZA HITMAKER, CASSPER NYOVEST TWO SHOWS IN LILONGWE & BLANTYRE-MALAWI.
South Africa’s hip-hop artist of the moment, Cassper Nyovest, is set to perform two shows in Malawi, one in Blantyre and the other in Lilongwe next month, disclosed organisers . The multi-award winning rapper was initially slated to perform at College of Medicine Sports Complex in Blantyre on 21 March, 2015. But organisers added another shat Alexenders Pub Courtyard on Sunday, March 22. “This gives fans enough time to save for this high profile live music show, which fun-goers in the two cities, aged 16-35, cannot afford to miss,” said Kimpho Lokaof Pencils PR, a consultancy running the show’s promotion. He indicates that tickets will start selling after Valentine. “Standard tickets will be K5,000; VIP K8,000. At the door standard entry will be K6,000 while VIP will be K10,000.” Ticket selling points will be announced in due course, according to Loka.
ABOUT CASSPER:
He’s a record producer, was born Refiloe Maele Phoolo. His debut album Tsholofelo was released on 18 July 2014. Last October he was ranked number 1 on “The Hottest MC in Africa” list by MTV Base. Nyovest was also ranked number 2 on MTV Base’s “SA’s Hottest MC” list with K.O at number 1. Some of the awards he has scooped include the 2013 SA Hip Hop Awards Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year and Best Freshman for the song Gusheshe and Album of the year and Best Digital sales for the song Tsholofelo. In 2014, Doc Shebeleza won the Song of the Year in the SA Hip Hop Awards, while the same year 2014 he won the Channel O Music Video Awards Most Gifted Male, Most Gifted Southern Artist and Most Gifted Video of the Year.

SICK OF THIS BULLSHIT, WHY ISN’T THE GOVERNMENT HELPING THE AFRICAN ALBINOS BEING HUNTED FOR THEIR ORGANS AND BODY PARTS?
I spoke to KABOBA, a friendly Tanzanian guy with albinism.
Seif Kabelele: Can you please tell us a little about yourself?
Kaboba : My name is Kaboba, I am a person with albinism from the east of Dar es Dar es Salaam.
Seif Kabelele: How’s life like growing up in Tanzania?
Kaboba: Not simple. People with albinism don’t get sufficient support from society, and as a result learn not to trust anyone. We’re not treated like human beings.
Seif Kabelele: How do attackers target people?
Kaboba: They will usually entice children with presents and sweets, pretending to be nice and friendly. They prey on children in the most deceptive ways. Sometimes they hide in bushes, waiting to attack. At times they try to seduce women. They will ask them out on dates and initiate relationships to earn their trust. There have been cases where men have married women with albinism simply to attack them. When all else fails, attackers resort to the use of guns.
Seif Kabelele: Is discrimination against people with albinism much more prevalent in Tanzania than in other countries?
Kaboba: People with albinism face challenges across Africa. You might not hear about what is going on in other countries because their national press don’t have as much freedom as ours, though.
Seif Kabelele: How does the albinistic community respond?
Kaboba: There are some centres where children with albinism are kept on a temporary basis, but there isn’t enough support readily available. In general there is no strategised plan or system of protection for people with albinism.
Seif Kabelele: What do you think can be done to improve living conditions for people with albinism?
Kaboba: The government has to recognise the problems we have, create programmes and set budgets that will address the challenges we face. We also need to encourage people to think positively about albinism, putting aside all the myths and falsehoods that have caused us so much trouble. If we do that, we can really make a change.

JAY Z’s ROC NATION SPORTS PARTING WAYS WITH MEGA AGENCY CAA
Rap mogul Jay Z has 99 problems and losing a major business partnershipwith a mega agency is one of them.
According to a report in the New York Post’s business section, Jay Z’s fledgeling Roc Nation sports agency is parting ways with sports giant CAA as their 2-year deal ends.
The reason for the split is unclear. But the NY Post theorizes that CAA was concerned about losing a lot of money and sports contracts to the upstart Roc Nation Sports.
Jay Z has parlayed his significant influence as Beyonce’s husband to sign sports powerhouses such as Kevin Durant, CC Sabathia and Robinson Cano (pictured above left) to lucrative contracts. This despite the fact that Jay Z does not have an iota of experience as a sports agent.

Under the partnership, Roc Nation Sports — a division of Roc Nation — took the lead in getting marketing and sponsorship deals, while TPG-owned CAA handled the athletes’ player contracts.It’s unclear what led to the split, although sources suggested that Jay Z’s growing sports agency had become too competitive with CAA.Rumors surfaced late last year that top NFL super-agent Tom Condon was quitting CAA and heading to Jay Z’s shop.The move hasn’t happened — but signaled, perhaps, a coming of age for Roc Nation Sports.Condon was named the No. 3 most powerful sports agent in the world in 2014 by Forbes. He has $1.29 billion in contracts under management.
