AMERICAN MEGA STAR T.I FOR THE SERENGETI FIESTA 2014 IN BONGO-TANZANIA
↧
I HAVE BEEN SPENDING ALOT OF TIME ALONE. I DON’T HAVE THE DESIRE TO SEE OR TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT THINGS THAT BOTHER ME. I DONT FEEL AS IF TALKING TO ANYONE WOULD HELP AT ALL AND I THINK DEALING WITH IT BY MYSELF WOULD BE BETTER, IT SEEMS TO BE WORKING BUT IDK IF ITS HURTING ME MORE IN THE LONG RUN.>> IS IT UNHEALTHY TO DISTANCE YOURSELF FROM PEOPLE AND KEEP IN THINGS YOU THINK ABOUT OR THAT BOTHER YOU?
Fuvu Kinyette Say’s >>> Healthy/Unhealthy... I dunno. I do it. Sometimes it bottles up and I explode. so I guess that's not good if there are people around. Hence...why I stay away from people. :-)
Alonzo Say’s >>>I go through this all the time, I often get frustrated with other people because it just seems like no one gets it. But to be honest I know deep down inside if I cut myself off from everyone, then I take away the ability to really achieve anything. People are like walking books, they have tons of experiences and I'm sure you can take away something from everyone you come across. It helps in the quest for your wanting to deal with things yourself. You may be able to work it out on your own but don't discount how someone elses story can help you with a realization you've been searching for.
Phinzo Say’s >>>> The short answer to your question is yes.
The long answer ot your question is yeeeessssss!
I have handled things both ways during different, difficult times in my life, and I can tell you that holding everything inside makes you a ticking bomb which will eventually explode on some poor sap whose left standing there saying, "What just happened?"
Be honest, with yourself and others. It may be difficult to speak about problems, but rip it off like a bandaid, my friend. Talking with the people involved in the conflict is best, but at least find a confidant to share your feelings with. You'll feel better much more quickly.
TT Say’s>>>>>> I'm pretty sure it is. I'm that way too though. I can't help it. I keep in my emotions. I haven't ever exploded yet, so I'm pretty sure I'm responsible for my feelings and holding them in. I've been through the worst and have passed through the lowest part of my life alone and I've proved to myself that I'm more than capable of surviving on my own. When I do share how I feel, I feel like I'm letting a part of myself go and I feel a sort of loss. Little by little I'm showing my raw self and I don't like that. I feel exposed. I just feel that people will never know how I'm feeling and that it's a waste of time trying to explain it, when even I don't understand it.

WOOOOOOOOZZZZAAAAAA!!! 5TH OCTOBER 2014 WAITING FOR DRAMAS FROM THE BIG BROTHER AFRICA SEASON 9. >>> ALL MY EYES ON TANZANIAN LAVEDA, SOUTH AFRICAN NHLANHLA, KENYAN ALUSA, SEXYLEELEE-LILIAN AND GHANAIAN M’AM BEA…… Pah!!
Laveda was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She’s single and describes herself as ‘eccentric, loving, caring, simple and fun’. Laveda is the eldest of three children and she has a younger brother and sister. She says her mom is her role model, because she has moulded her over the years and inspired her in different ways ‘through the struggles and joy of life’. Laveda says her favourite foods are pasta and minced meat, and prawns. She loves to read John Grisham novels and enjoys the music of Shakira, D’Banj, Miriam Makeba, P.Square, Rihanna, Beyonce, Tiwa Savage, Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Brenda Fassie. She’s a mean entertainer herself, she plays the saxophone, sings, acts and dances and thinks she’d make a ‘potential’ presenter. Laveda’s favourite movies include The Notebook, Titanic and Avatar. She entered Big Brother Hotshots to be a role model and act as a voice for Africa’s youth. Laveda says that viewers can expect ‘massive entertainment’ from her and that if she wins, she’ll give her mom some money, ‘surprise disadvantaged children’, travel and invest the rest.
Actor, Radio Drama Director and MC Alusa from Nairobi, Kenya, is married and has three children. His favourite food is ugali with chicken stew and traditional vegetables. His favourite book is TD Jakes’ He-Motions and he likes watching National Geographic, The Exes and Nigerian movies on TV. On the music front, he enjoys listening to Sauti-Sol, Mafikizolo, P.Square, Youssou N’Dour and Salif Keita. One of his favourite films, Training Day, features one of his favourite actors: Denzel Washington. Describing himself as ‘ambitious, spiritual, out-spoken, generous and mysterious’, Alusa likes people who are ‘detailed’ and who have a good sense of humour, because he likes to laugh. He doesn’t enjoy people who ‘emit negative energy’. He entered Big Brother Hotshots for the exposure, as well as the intrigue of living with total strangers in a closed environment and the desire to share his lifestyle with a huge audience. Alusa is looking forward to having the continent watching him: ‘I’m an artist, a performer, so I love attention. I’m not in the least bit intimidated, in fact, I’m thrilled’
Alusa lists Mombasa and his village of Kakamega as his favourite places in Kenya, because they’re both very exotic in their ways and rich culture. He says the best thing about Africa is the people. ‘Africans are both beautiful in form and diverse culture,’ he says. Outside of Africa, his favourite place is Brazil. ‘Rich culture, beautiful women, sweet samba music, festivals, food – I could go on and on,’ he says.

Known as ‘SexyLeeLee’ to her friends, Lillian is a model, actor, presenter, and tax collector! She entered Big Brother Hotshots for ‘the platform it provides and the publicity that comes with it, and the money’. She’s not willing to sell herself short to win the grand prize. If she does win, she’ll invest in her talk show, which is about ‘helping upcoming talents’ and get herself a house. Lilian’s favourite foods are rice and plantain and she likes watching Baggage on TV and listening to 2Face Idibia. She doesn’t have a favourite book, but likes movies like Think Like A Man, Blended, Friends With Benefits, Bridesmaids and Twelve Years A Slave. Her favourite actor is Angelina Jolie, because ‘she’s creative and can switch between roles’. Her favourite place in Nigeria is Lagos, and she says the best thing about Africa is its cultural diversity. Outside her home country, she’d like to visit California for the opportunities she believes it would provide her to improve her career. Lilian’s role model is Oprah Winfrey, because of her strength, and the person who has most influenced her life is her mother, ‘because she has always believed in me and encouraged me to follow my dreams’. She describes herself as ‘spontaneous, easy-going, focussed and confident’ and says her best assets are that she’s ambitious, a good listener, flexible, persuasive, competitive, independent and original.
Ghanaian M’am Bea lists her occupation as ‘Acting Trainee Manager/Fashion Designer’, and has a diploma in Management Finance. Her favourite foods are yam and nkontomere stew, fufu, palm nut soup and jolof rice. M’am Bea likes music by Sarkodie, Mafikizolo, John Legend, Wizkid and D’Banj. Her favourite place in Ghana is Aburi Garden and she says the best thing about Africa is that ‘it expresses diversity through colours and we are not ashamed to exhibit that’. Outside of her home country, her favourite place in the world is South Africa: ‘it offers so many opportunities and it offers young people the opportunity to study and become great people in the world’. M’am Bea’s role model is her mom, because ‘she is strong, humble, God-fearing and puts her family first’. Inspired to enter Big Brother Hotshots by her talent and ‘the unity of all African countries coming together as one to learn and share’, M’am Bea also lists making it onto the show as her proudest achievement so far. ‘It will give me room to showcase my personality and influence young, gifted youth out there,’ she says. Describing herself as a ‘driven, humble and respectful self-starter’, M’am Bea says that viewers can expect her ‘true self’, her ‘fashion sense, sense of humour, cooking skills, intelligence and wise words’ to shine through on screen. She says she’s ‘humbled and overwhelmed’, knowing that the continent’s eyes will be on her.

TANZANIAN RAMA DEE, STEVE RnB, BEN POL AND ENIKA ARE THE GREATEST RNB SINGERS EVER. ALL OF THEM ARE STELLAR VOCALISTS KNOWN FOR THEIR SMOOTH SOUNDS, CHART DOMINATION, MUSICIANSHIP AND IMPACT ON THE CULTURAL AND MUSICAL SCENE.
There's something about a voice that's personal, not unlike the particular odor or shape of a given human body. Summoned through belly, hammered into form by the throat, given propulsion by bellows of lungs, teased into final form by tongue and lips, a vocal is a kind of audible kiss, a blurted confession, a soul-burp you really can't keep from issuing as you make your way through the material world. How helplessly candid! How appalling! For me, Rama Dee and Steve RnB , just to mention a few. These are superb singers by any measure I could ever care about.
The man who goes by the title Steve RnB (he doesn't like to publicly reveal his full name) is an R&B singer active as a solo artist from 2006-Present.
Since childhood, Ben Pol has been influenced by R&B and soul artists such as D' Angelo, Maxwell, John Legend and Stevie Wonder. Sweet Reggae is some of the music that deeply touches Ben Pol.Other rappers like Kanye West seem to also have an influence on his music.
Since the debut single “Baridi Kama Hii,” - Kiswahili for “Cold Like This, dropped in 2004 Enika’s dedication and talent have propelled her to become one of Tanzania’s hottest R&B sensations. But R&B is only the beginning; her love for soul and jazz have been influencing her recent recordings. She is a steady force in the East African scene and can boast international collaborations including a series of performances including the 2007 Zanzibar International Film Festival with Think Tank, a Dutch Jazz Trio, along side Fid Q, and taraab artists Nasoor Amour and Fatma Ally from Zanzibar. Having started her recording career with the late Roy Bukuku of G2 Records, Enika has also worked with Bongo producers Master J, P-Funk, Ambrose Akula Akwabi a.k.a Dunga, Lamar, as well as hot Dutch producer, Wouter. In fact, she is a sought after artist not only because of ability to freestyle and create and sing complex harmonies, but also her songwriting prowess. Enika writes or co-writes all of her songs..

PICS: IT IS WHAT IT IS >> STAMINA, GODZILA AND MADEE ROCKING DURING SERENGETI FIESTA IN MBEYA CITY
In an era where musicians fade like the morning dew there is something that reminds the entertainment fanatics out there—it’s none other than the Serengeti Fiesta. After making sure that Songea residents were entertained to the maximum Serengeti Fiesta had to find its way to Mbeya city over the weekend to spread love and define the meaning of “Ni sheedah” in the region. As early as 4pm tickets for Serengeti Fiesta entrance were being sold at the Sokoine stadium early enough so as to avoid long queues before the main show approaches. As always fans that flocked around the stadium were mostly youths and it was amazing to see such a big turnout. The curtains of entertainment opened to allow a set of talented artists spread love to Mbeya residents on stage and indeed the show was a thirsty-quencher for most of the festival fans in Mbeya. Tearing up the stage was the “Pombe yangu” hit maker Madee who got fans shout on top of their voices as they sang along while he was performing the song, then on came Stamina, Ney and Barnaba who stormed the stage with their latest hits that got fans singing along. Other artists who featured on stage and had a good reception were TID, Linex, Mr. Blue, Ney wa Mitego, Linah, Recho, Mo Music and Baraka Da Prince whereby during their performances were well credited by the fans.
Just like other regions, where the show has toured, local food vendors also known as “Mama Lishe” were invited to come and sell local food for the guys who didn’t prefer chips and “nyama choma” that was mainly available in the stadium.Speaking to journalists shortly after the show was the Serengeti Premium Lager’s brand Manager, Mr. Rugambo Rodney who said…. “I would like to sincerely thank the people of Mbeya for such a big turnout and it is my hope that our show has entertained all of the fans who gathered here tonight. Our next stop will be Dodoma and Singida and we can’t wait to connect with our fans over there.” Besides the concert, there were a number of pre-activities that had earlier taken place including football bonanza and Serengeti Super nyota diva where winners of these activity got free tickets to travel to Dar for the final show where American rapper T.I is expected to perform.

SEIF KABELELE ONE ON ONE INTERVIEW WITH SASSY BETTY BONIFACE OMARA – MISS UNIVERSE TANZANIA 2013
SEIF KABELELE: What is your biggest concern about today's world? What should we be fighting for? What are you fighting for?
BETTY BONIFACE: Unemployment appears second overall, as many people in both advanced and emerging economies struggle to find jobs. Young people are especially vulnerable – youth unemployment is as high as 50% in some countries and underemployment (with low-quality jobs) remains prevalent, especially in emerging and developing markets." Here I would ask the government to support struggling industries in order to try to save jobs, provide more training and education to the unemployed. This could help improve skills and communication and these people would be confident an employable.
SEIF KABELELE: You wee quickly catapulted to fame, what is the biggest lesson you've learnt?
BETTY BONIFACE: At first the experience of becoming famous provides much ego stroking. I enjoy parts of it, but I hate parts of it too. So I have learnt to accept mistrust, love and hate from all the people around me.
SEIF KABELELE: Any wise words for upcoming models?
BETTY BONIFACE: Am not going to say it going to be easy but am telling you it's worth it,so believe in yourself, have faith in your abilities. Without a humble but a reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy.
SEIF KABELELE: What environmental project will you create to promote the protection of Mother Earth and why?
BETTY BONIFACE: A project that would raise awareness of,and encourage active participation in waste minimization and the conservation of energy and resources. This is to encourage people to take responsibility for their relationship with the environment in their daily lives.
SEIF KABELELE: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
BETTY BONIFACE: Am very passionate about learning new things throughout my whole life so after five years, I want to see myself in a position that reflects my experience, knowledge, commitment and dedication towards my work and success.
SEIF KABELELE: Tell us two things that we would be surprised to learn/know about you
BETTY BONIFACE: ONE:When I am lonely, I talk with imaginary friends, sometimes I would read a book out loud acting like there was somebody listening.
TWO:At the age of 9 I would make banana pancakes and sell them to my family members . Looks like I had the enterprenuerial spirit.
SEIF KABELELE: Who have you really enjoyed working with so far and is there anyone out thee you haven't worked with yet you would really like to?
BETTY BONIFACE: Sometimes work can be so challenging, tough and rough but I really enjoyed working with the Compass Communications Team most especially Maria Sarungi for who is just like a sister and family to me. Also I’m enjoying working with AZAM TV. >>Am looking forward to working with many fair and professional people.
SEIF KABELELE: Walk through the day in YOUR life
BETTY BONIFACE: I always try to be myself, so I do not have a lot of things to stress about. I often do my home chores the night before and when morning comes am all fresh. I always wake up at 5:30 in the morning for my daily workouts and at 7:30 am already in the kitchen preparing breakfast for my family, I always make sure everything is at ease and that's when my beautiful day and hustle begins. Every day is a beginning of a new day.
SEIF KABELELE: How do you keep yourself motivates to go on and keep turning into something better?
BETTY BONIFACE: I have three things that I maintain and really help my motivation:Vision for myself,My passion and Experiments with something new. These three are quite enough to keep me motivated, powerful and helps me inject a dose if excitement which helps me discover a side of me that I didn't know existed.
SEIF KABELELE: You won the 2013 Miss Universe pageant immidiately your life was transformed. Tell me about your experiences to date. Does anything stand out?
BETTY BONIFACE: I would to start off by saying that every experience no matter what it is, good or bad, you will learn from it. That's just life. It's a great chance being in my position for you become responsible. There's a lot push and pull, being here and thee doing different things. These things build up a mind and makes it more stable. Am grateful to the opportunities the crown has afforded me which purely makes it a stand out.
SEIF KABELELE: There is a lot of politics involved behind the scenes of beauty pageant in Tanzania, what is the biggest lesson you have learnt in your climb to the top?
BETTY BONIFACE: I think the pageant system is about empowering women and I think it's aspect is great but when you take politics as something to distract you and your goals, it's not healthy and helpful. In my opinion, my personal choices are what matter most and I do realy think pageantry does empower women.

I HAD THE BEST RELATIONSHIP WITH MY GRANDMOTHER, SHE PASSED AWAY THREE YEARS AGO. SHE DIED OF HEART ATTACK, I KNOW SHE WENT TO HEAVEN, BUT I’M FALLING APART DOWN HERE ON EARTH. I DON’T HAVE ANYONE TO TALK TO THAT ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDS. WHEN WILL I STOP MOURNING? WHEN WILL I FINALLY FIND PEACE ON THE SUBJECT? AND WHEN WILL EVERY LITTLE THING THAT REMINDS ME OF HER NOT MAKE ME CRY?
what a sad story... only you have the answers to those questions, we all mourn differently and for different periods. You may not find out the answers until it happens. I know saying sorry won't really help though. It might make you feel worst. Anyways the mourning will stop. But there's not a certain period of time that it will take to get over her. You'll just get over her at your own pace…..Tanya
When handling death of someone close to you, it's normal to be sad and mourn over them. Your emotions might be stronger or deeper than usual in ways you've never experienced before. Some people have trouble concentrating, studying, sleeping, or eating when they're dealing with a death. Or sometimes people lose interest in activities they used to enjoy or lose themselves in playing computer games or eat or drink to excess. Let yourself have your feelings and try not to run away from your emotions. But also keep on doing things you normally would such as being with friends, caring for your pet, working out,. Moving on doesn't mean forgetting about the person you lost. Getting back to enjoying your life doesn't mean you no longer miss the person. And how long it takes until you start to feel better isn't a measure of how much you loved the person. With time, the loving support of family and friends, and your own positive actions, you can find ways to cope with even the deepest loss……Guesepe
I understand how you feel I lost my grandfather back in 2006 and it still hurts sometime when I think about little things he would say or how he would always call me by my nickname. Over time it will get better though there is no particualr time frame because everybody is different. The first couple of months I thought about it but every month after that the pain hurt less and less until you finally accept that they are somewhere far much better....hope this help and i'll be praying 4 u…………….SumuLele
The hardest thing in life is losing someone you love. Its gonna hurt and will for a long time. The best thing to do is honor your grandmother by being the best person you can be. If you believe she is in heaven, then remember that our lives on this earth are only temporary and you will be with your grandmother again. Ask god to give you the strength to go on. Your grandmother is with God and she feels no pain, no sadness, and no hurt. If you keep that in mind, it will make things easier……….FuvuKinyete
When you are truly connected to someone and they pass away it takes a long time to move on. Its so hard when everything you know is gone but you're going to rebuild and move on in life and find new people. But don't try to rush it, give it all the time it needs and sooner or later you're going to start feeling better……..Ziwi
When you come to realize that she would want you to live your life to the fullest. Time is the only thing that can heal such wounds and I am sure your grandma wouldn't wants you to be happy. She is at rest and not in pain anymore. There are things in this world that no one can avoid and sadly one of them is death, but to every negative thing there is also a positive thing to balance the equation and in this case it is life. Live life, be happy know that she would want you to be happy……..Amit
